About

This page isn’t just about me. Telling the perfect story takes tons of teamwork and a dash of chemistry, so let’s find out if it’s a good fit.

a bit about me } and yes, layers, too

Glad you’re here! I’m Robin Ridley, graphic designer, wordsmith, and owner of Parfait Studio. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and over twenty years of experience in the creative field, I’ve teamed up with a multitude of clients on projects of every stripe and color. After working for several well-regarded design firms in Denver, Colorado, I launched Parfait Studio in 2007 with a focus on “multi-layered” concepts. Like the dessert that inspired my business name, I prefer ideas that are great at first glance and get better as you dig deeper.

There’s no denying I’m a detail person. I’m the one who finds the hidden typo in the manuscript, teases out the common thread within a tangle of ideas, and sees not just the trees, but each branch in the forest. Speaking of trees — and because every bio should have a few personal notes — I love hiking and gardening. Also (in no particular order): yoga, black tea, roller coasters, road trips, and a good book with breakfast.

But, more to the point, I also enjoy combining words and images that encourage my readers to pause and think. When I help launch a worthy cause, product, or service into the world, it gives me goosebumps. I thrive on collaborating with likeminded individuals, but don’t require hand-holding. While I strive for perfection in everything, I understand that we’re all human. I have a sneaky sense of humor that occasionally creeps into my work. I try not to start every sentence with “I” (and sometimes fail).

Bottom line, I know what I’m best at and which people I’m well-suited to help. I’m hoping you’re one of them, so let’s talk more about you!

a bit about you } let’s see how well i do

First and foremost, you are intelligent and compassionate. You understand the importance of extending kindness and consideration to all living creatures, and you devote a portion of your own time to doing just that. Whether you’re the sole proprietor of a small company or the CEO of a large corporation, you seek out and support vegan businesses whenever possible.

In all likelihood, you’re wildly enthusiastic about the products or services you offer! You want the masses to hear the life-changing message you’re working so hard to transmit. Still, you recognize that in order to draw in more clients or customers, you must refine that message and keep it visually consistent with your brand. You probably already realize that the creative process requires effort and involvement on your part. It’s safe to say you value others’ time and talents, plus you enjoy the give-and-take that’s the highlight of any healthy partnership. Undoubtedly, you understand that good work isn’t free.

You may be a skilled decision maker, a delegator, or — in many cases — a “big picture” person who needs a detail-oriented designer to hash out the small stuff. Perhaps you’re seldom at a loss for ideas, but putting them into practice takes valuable time away from your work. Alternately, you may enjoy discussing the particulars of a project, but executing them doesn’t appeal to you. This, you’ll be glad to hear, is where I come in.

If any of the above rings true for you, head over to my Contact page and request a 30-minute chat so we can decide if partnering up might make perfect sense. Can’t wait to meet you!
